Through the first two weeks of the young MLB season, Boston’s pitching staff has emerged as one of the best in the majors. The Red Sox rank fourth in the league in both team ERA at 2.69 and batting average against at .209.
Chris Sale is as safe a bet as there is in the American League to pitch at a high level, but with David Price and Rick Porcello also apparently back in top form, this could be a rough staff to crack all season long.

After dealing with plenty of boo-birds after dropping three of four games at home to Baltimore last week, the Yankees may be happy to be hitting the road for their next six games.
Giancarlo Stanton’s first season in pinstripes is off to a rocky start as the slugger is batting just .167 with 20 strikeouts through his first 42 at bats. New York will have its ups and downs this season based on how hot or cold the big bats are, and so far the Yankees are 5-5 through 10 games.
Tuesday’s total is set at 7.5 runs. The OVER is 6-1 in New York’s last seven games and 7-1 in Chris Sale’s last eight starts.
This will be the first of many games between these two teams this season that could go a long way in determining who wins the AL East. The series continues Wednesday with Masahiro Tanaka and David Price on the mound and wraps up Thursday with Sonny Gray vs. Rick Porcello.
