After a couple of lackluster games in his return from a knee injury that kept him out of action for two months, John Wall looked like his old self in Washington’s 119-115 road loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In that game, Wall had 14 assists and 28 points, pushing the Cavaliers to the limit and helping the team cover the spread as 5.5-point underdogs.
Wall sat out in Washington’s 103-97 loss to Atlanta to avoid playing a back-to-back so soon after his return, but is expected to be back in action against Boston.

Boston received some devastating news last week as it was revealed that Kyrie Irving would need to miss the remainder of the season due to an infection in his knee.

Despite their recent slump, the Wizards have already clinched a playoff spot. Washington enters Tuesday’s action sitting in the eighth seed in the East, but the seeding for the final three spots is up in the air heading into the team’s final two games. Tuesday’s showdown could wind up being a first-round preview if Washington lands the No. 7 seed in the conference.
