Cleveland Cavaliers
After blowing a 17-point halftime lead in a 92-90 loss to the Pacers in Game 3, the Cavaliers found themselves in a must-win situation on the road in Game 4. LeBron James predictably stepped up to the plate with a big game scoring 32 points with 13 rebounds and only one turnover in a 104-100 win to even the series up at two games apiece.
The supporting cast continues to be a concern for Cleveland moving forward in this series and beyond, but as long as James is on the court the Cavaliers will be a tremendously tough out.
The Cavaliers are just 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS over their last six playoff home games per the OddsShark NBA Database. Cleveland was 12-1 SU and 10-3 ATS over its previous 13 postseason home games before this current stretch.
Indiana Pacers
Indiana almost erased another Cleveland lead in Game 4, cutting its halftime deficit of 10 points down to two points by the start of the fourth quarter. But in the end, the Pacers didn’t hit enough shots in the fourth quarter to take control of this series.
While the situation seems a lot more grim for the Pacers than it did before Game 4, Indiana is 9-2 ATS in its last 11 games in Cleveland and 2-2 SU in Cleveland this season. This series is far from over.
Wednesday night’s total is set at 205 points. Each of the first four games in this series have gone UNDER the posted total.
Each of the last three games in this series has been decided by four points or less. In a pivotal Game 5 between two teams desperate to take control of this series, Wednesday’s contest should be another grind right down to the finish.
