LeBron James was excellent in Game 2 as he tried to will his team to a victory, logging a triple-double with 42 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. But with the rest of the team shooting just 41.2% from the floor and 25% from three-point range, the Cavaliers wasted LeBron’s effort in a 107-94 loss.
Cleveland now finds itself in an 0-2 hole in the series and needing wins in both Game 3 and Game 4 to head back to Boston with the conference finals evened up.
The Cavaliers have won five of their last six home games against the Celtics. Boston is 6-1-1 ATS in its last eight trips to Cleveland however per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Boston Celtics
Head Coach Brad Stevens controversially didn’t receive a single vote to be Coach of the Year by his peers, but the way this postseason has gone so far likely has many of those peers wishing they had a re-vote.
Missing two of his best players in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, Stevens has managed to guide the Celtics into the Eastern Conference Finals, where they have picked up two straight double-digit wins over Cleveland. Stevens’ in-game adjustments were on full display in Game 2 as Boston trailed 55-48 going into the half but went 59-39 the rest of the way en route to victory.
Saturday night’s total is set at 205 points. The UNDER is 9-3 in Cleveland’s last 12 games at home.
Despite all of their great play this postseason, Boston is just 1-7 SU in its last eight games on the road. LeBron James has advanced his team into the NBA Finals in each of his last seven seasons, and if he hopes to do so again that path likely needs to start with a home win on Saturday.
