Golden State Warriors
The Warriors got off to a disastrous start in Game 6 on Saturday, falling behind 39-22 in the first quarter and then ending the half down 61-51. The second half was an entirely different story however as Golden State blew Houston away, outscoring the Rockets 64-25 en route to a 115-86 win.
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combined for 14 three-pointers and 64 points in the blowout win, finally finding their rhythm on offense after struggling the last couple of games.
In their last six postseason games as a road favorite the Warriors are 2-4 SU and ATS since going 7-0 SU and ATS in their previous seven playoff games as one per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Houston Rockets
Houston looked like it may be on its way to an improbable upset without Chris Paul over the Warriors after getting off to such a hot start on offense on Saturday. Instead, Paul’s absence haunted the Rockets late in the game as the Warriors were able to hone in on James Harden when he was on the court and run away with the game in the fourth quarter when he wasn’t.
Paul is listed as questionable for Game 7 and is considered to be a gametime decision by head coach Mike D’Antoni.
Monday night’s total is set at 209 points. The UNDER is 12-3 in Houston’s last 15 games as a home underdog.
Without Paul, Houston has very little room for error in Game 7. The Rockets could pull off the upset if they are able to hit their shots and make the Warriors uncomfortable on offense again, but without Paul things on the defensive end are much harder to execute.
