Dustin Johnson picked up his second tournament win of 2018 last weekend with an impressive performance in the FedEx St. Jude Classic. The winner of the 2016 US Open will try to stay hot with another win in the US Open this weekend.
US Open odds 2018: Dustin Johnson headlines betting lines for second major of season
Johnson is favored at the sportsbooks to win the US Open for the second time in his career this weekend over Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, and Justin Rose.

Johnson is a +800 favorite on the 2018 US Open odds in Long Island at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The 33-year-old was sensational in the St. Jude Classic, blowing away the rest of the field with a 19-under-par performance. With that win, Johnson has finished in the top 10 in seven of the 11 tournaments he has entered this season including two runner-up finishes and two wins.
His recent form and previous win in this event make him a formidable favorite in this year’s US Open.
The only player sitting higher in the FedExCup Standings than Johnson is Justin Thomas at No. 1. Thomas (+1400 to win the US Open) picked up wins earlier this season in the Honda Classic and the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges, but in his last five tournament appearances he has only one top 10 finish. Last year, Thomas finished tied for ninth place with an eight-under-par in this tournament.
Justin Rose (+1400) currently ranks third in the FedExCup standings behind Thomas and Johnson, and he enters this tournament in good form. Rose won the Fort Worth Invitational with a 20-under-par performance in late May and followed that up with a tied for sixth place finish in the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide.
The 37-year-old won the US Open in his first and only major victory back in 2013.
The usual suspects could also find their way into the mix in Rory McIlroy (+1400), Jordan Spieth (+1800), Jason Day (+1800), and Rickie Fowler (+1800). Day ranks fourth in the FedExCup Standings and has two wins under his belt this season. Spieth won the US Open in 2015.
Other potential contenders on this week’s golf odds include defending champion Brooks Koepka (+2200), Tiger Woods (+2200), Jon Rahm (+2200), Hideki Matsuyama (+3300), Phil Mickelson (+3300), Henrik Stenson (+3300), and Branden Grace (+3300).
Woods, featured heavily on the US Open betting props for this week, won his last major tournament in this event back in 2008.
