Machado is stuck on just two home runs, 11 runs and seven RBI through his first 26 games in Dodger Blue, numbers far below his career averages in Baltimore.
Walker Buehler has pitched well in his first year as a starter with a 3.32 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP. Despite these solid stats, Los Angeles is 5-7 in his last 12 starts and 1-3 in his last four.
Seattle Mariners
With a four-game sweep over the Houston Astros last week, the Mariners clawed their way back into contention for the top spot in the AL West and in the crowded wild card race.
Seattle’s 70-52 record would be second only to the Chicago Cubs in the National League, but in the American League the Mariners sit behind both Houston and the Oakland A’s in their own division and Oakland and the New York Yankees in the wild card hunt.
