CBS Sports Network adds Craig Robinson to NCAA Tournament coverage

The Oregon State head coach will join CBS’ cable outlet to provide analysis for the rest of March Madness.

USA TODAY Sports

Presidential brother-in-law Craig Robinson will be joining CBS as a studio analyst, beginning Saturday.

One of the neat little features of the last few years of NCAA Tournament coverage is that all five networks covering the tourney (CBS, TNT, TBS, TruTV and CBS Sports Network, which provides full-time studio coverage throughout the day) eventually bring in coaches whose teams have been ousted in the early rounds to fill-in when Charles Barkley or Greg Anthony need a break.
Robinson already has some notoriety outside of basketball, as he is the brother of First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama and has been the subject of several features due to President Obama’s love of the sport.
Robinson’s Beavers failed to qualify for postseason play, going 14-18 with a 4-14 record in the Pac-12 Conference. This was Robinson’s fifth season in Corvallis, and seventh season as a head coach, as he started with two years at Brown.
