Ajax are now comfortably two goals ahead on Auxerre thanks to a goal from Luis Suarez. Ajax broke on the counter-attack and the final ball was played by Mounir El Hamdaoui. His through ball to the right side of the penalty area was picked up by Suarez who calmly finished past Oliver Sorin. The goal was the first for Suarez in the Champions League group stages this season and his 11th in all competitive matches.
