Both Toluca and Puebla have scored in the first half of their match, going into halftime tied up at 1-1.
Toluca 1-1 Puebla: All Square At Halftime
The first goal of the match came in the 18th minute from Puebla’s red hot attacker Gabriel Pereyra. Felipe Ayala took a corner kick which found Pereyra, who was lurking in the middle of the penalty area. Toluca defended poorly and Pereyra easily headed in the goal from very close range.
At the end of the half, Zinha reminded everyone why he still is able to play at this high of a level, despite his age. On a free kick from just outside of the area, Zinha hit an incredible bending shot to the upper left corner of the goal, stunning Alexandro Alvarez who had no chance to save the shot. It was a stunning golazo from the Red Devils captain to get his team back on level terms in the 44th minute.
Morelia and Cruz Azul are also playing a 1 pm Eastern kickoff, and their match was tied 0-0 at halftime.
