As I type at 11:35 a.m. Pacific time, we are ten minutes away from the day’s crush of matches bearing down on us. Then, fourteen matches will be active, with another three having just finished. Here’s what our status will be:
Euro 2012 Qualifying: Let The Crush Begin
- Hungary will have just finished their rout of San Marino, currently sitting 6-0.
- Macedonia will have closed out Andorra. Right now, they have a 0-2 lead.
- Georgia and Malta will be settled, with the Georgian's currently unable to break through the Maltese, headed for a 0-0 draw.
- Norway will be at halftime with Cyrpis, right now holding a 0-1 lead at the Cypriots.
- Scotland is at the Czech Republic in one of the day's bigger matches. That's 0-0 through 23 minutes.
- Luxembourg and Belarus are drawn 0-0. I know you care.
- The Netherlands just kicked-off at Moldova and have gone eight minutes without scoring.
- Group-leading Albania is nine minutes into their match hosting Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Austria has an early Sebastian Prödl goal against visiting Azerbaijan.
- Serbia and Estonia are scoreless through ten in Beograd.
- Montenegro and Switzerland and 0-0 through ten minutes.
- Wales and Bulgaria are scoreless in Cardiff.
- Germany's minutes away from kick-off with Turkey in Berlin.
- Northern Ireland and Italy will start in Belgrade.
- The Slovenes are about to start their win against the Faroe Islands.
- Russia will try to crack Ireland in Dublin.
- Greece will try to not-draw Latvia.
But other than that, nothing much is happening.
