Euro 2012 Qualifying: Hungary Completes Rout, Macedonia Wins In Andorra, Georgia Leaves It Lates Against Malta

Georgia spend the better part of the match showing impatience and immaturity against visiting Malta, uncertain how to deal with the pressures of defeating a team they were supposed to beat, who they had lost to 2-0 the last time they met. Further complicating the match, Malta was showing the Georgians respect, playing off their hosts, seemingly content with a nil-nil.

That result looking inevitable until the 93rd minute in Tbilisi. Then, substitute David Siradze gave Georgia their first win of Euro 2012 qualifying, a dramatic 1-0 win that keeps Georgia undefeated in qualifying.

The win temporarilly moves Georgia to the top of Group F, sitting on five points. Croatia plays in Israel tomorrow, both teams sitting on four.

Elsewhere, Hungary routed San Marino 8-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Mainz forward Adam Szalai. The hosts also got two goals from Gegely Rudolf and single tallies from Vladimir Koman, Balazs Dzsudzsak and Zoltan Gera.

Macedonia was also a winner, getting a 0-2 result at Andorra.
