Euro 2012 Qualifying: Ireland Pulls Back Two Against Russia, Trail By One, 2-3

Whereas all looked lost for Ireland after Roman Shirokov’s early second half goal, the home team has fought back to within one with seven minutes to play in Dublin.

Captain Robbie Keane got the Irish’s first goal, converting from the spot in the 72nd minute to make it 1-3.

Six minutes later, Ireland was on the doorstep, with Shane Long having pulled back a second goal.

The match remains 2-3 with seven minutes before the end of regulation time.
