Blackpool 2-1 West Brom: Classy Consolation Goal For Baggies
The opportunity was started on a ball over the top that was well cleared away by Matthew Gilks, despite the presence of West Brom players in his face. Jerome Thomas sent the cleared ball forward again and it eventually reached Mulumbu. He put together a fantastic individual effort, beating his defender with creative dribbling and curling a fantastic shot past Gilks at his far post to bring the deficit back to one goal and the scoreline to 2-1, Blackpool.
Since scoring, West Brom have been pouring everyone forward, leaving themselves vulnerable on the counter-attack but challenging the goal of Gilks, looking for the equalizer. It’s been an absolutely fantastic effort for a team who are playing two men down.
