Houston Dynamo Reportedly Targeting Mexico’s Giovani Dos Santos

Citing a “MLS insider”, the Houston Chronicle is reporting the Dynamo have reached out to Tottenham Hotspurs about acquiring the 21-year-old striker.

Dos Santos has appeared in just 10 EPL matches since Spurs acquired him from Barcelona for €6 million before the 2008-09 season. Spurs coach Harry Redknapp has found just nine starts for him across all competitions in parts of three seasons and it is widely rumored that he will be sold during the transfer window. He has scored just one goal for Spurs, but scored four in six matches while on loan to Championship side Ipswich Town.
