After just barely sneaking into Liguilla, Pumas might have a “happy to be here” mentality against the top seeded Blue Machine of Cruz Azul. Pumas defeated Cruz Azul in the first match of the season, a game in which midfield ace Chaco Gimenez played very poorly. Since then, he has found his form and so have the rest of his teammates. This match should be much different than the one that took place in August.

Both teams are playing with wingers who are closer to strikers than midfielders, hardly traditional “wide midfielders.” Although maybe Chaco Gimenez is more of a playmaker than a striker.
