86 Forever: Sanyang is a quick, nimble, and fairly tall player. He’s gotten in twenty first team games with Toronto despite a couple injuries. He plays both defense and midfield, can play outside or centrally, and is a solid, reliable player. He’s remarkably inexpensive. And he’s 19 years old. He could be a useful bench player for Vancouver right now, and in a few years could be a lot more than that.

MLS Mock Expansion Draft: Timbers Select Sanna Nyassi; Whitecaps Take Chukwudi Chijindu
Chopping Timber: Nyassi has proven to be a very capable midfielder when he wants to be. I’m chalking up his potential to his entire youth factor he has going for him. Regardless, his performance for Seattle at this past year’s Open Cup, particularly the final is proof enough that the kid has some serious potential brewing inside of him. Potential which is being ignored by Seattle.

Plenty of pundits are releasing their own Expansion Protection Lists. Some of them will, no doubt, be reasonably accurate. Others will be based on horrible misconceptions.
