The halftime adjustment Carlo Ancelotti made at the Emirates saw defensive midfielder Mikel John Obi pulled for Ramires. Today, Chelsea makes that change at the start, with the Brazilian midfielder lining up along side Frank Lampard and Michael Essien in the middle of the Blues' formation. Mikel is not on the bench, having picked up a knock against Arsenal.
Chelsea Vs. Bolton: Ramires In For John Obi Mikel, Mikel Not On Bench
Some Blues supporters will see that as good news, though they may be the same fans who were knocking Ramires before Frank Lampard's return. However, if those onlookers are apt to stretch for silver linings, the returns of Nicolas Anelka and José Bosingwa will be less taxing. Anelka is in Ancelotti's starting team, knocking Salomon Kalou to the bench, while Bosingwa's return to right back means countryman Paulo Ferriera's relegated to the bench.
Bolton also has one change to their team: Gavin McCann starts at right wing for Lee Chung-Yong.
Chelsea Starting XI (4-3-3): Cech / Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole / Essien, Ramires, Lampard / Anelka, Drogba, Malouda

Bolton Starting XI (4-4-2): Jaaskelainen / Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson / McCann, Muamba, Holden, Taylor / Davies, Elmander
