Blackpool have gotten off to a great start in their match away to West Brom, with David Vaughan scoring a goal in the 11th minute off of a corner kick to give the Tangerines a 1-0 lead. It was Vaughan’s second goal of the English Premier League campaign, and it was no more than Blackpool deserved. Unsurprisingly, they have come to attack, and they have been the better side to start the match.
West Brom Vs. Blackpool: David Vaughan Puts Tangerines Ahead
The defending on Vaughan from the Baggies was poor, but that doesn’t take away from the fantastic quality of his finish. Off of a corner kick, the ball was deflected to Vaughan, who was waiting outside of the penalty area. West Brom failed to close him down, allowing him plenty of space and two touches of the ball before he took his shot. He looped it over Boaz Myhill into the far corner, giving the keeper absolutely no chance to make a save.
