Nigerian international Peter Odemwingie has scored his seventh English Premier League goal of the season for West Bromwich Albion, pulling his team level with Blackpool, 1-1. West Brom have been the more aggressive team since David Vaughan’s opener for the Tangerines, forcing their opponents into some tough defending and Richard Kingson into some decent saves.
West Brom Vs. Blackpool: Peter Odemwingie Finds Equalizer For Baggies
Odemwingie’s goal was assisted by Graham Dorrans from the left wing. Sitting on the back shoulder of the Blackpool back line, Odemwingie timed his run perfectly, taking off towards the goal just as Dorrans swung his ball into the box. He made an impeccable first touch to control the ball, helping him round the keeper and set himself up for a comfortable finish into the back of the net. After 37 minutes, West Brom were level. It was a great goal to score as a part of a great fight back after an awful start. Blackpool controlled the match early, but the Baggies have evened up the play as well as the score, and the match is truly a draw in every sense of the word at this point.
