Juventus have once again taken the lead over Bari, this time with a 79th minute shot by Alberto Aquilani. Yet the goal came again off a free kick taken by Alessandro Del Piero, which seems to be the only way Juventus can score in this match. Del Piero sent in a floating kick, which Massimo Donati headed away. Unfortunately for the Bari midfielder, the ball went straight to Aquilani’s feet. With no hesitation, Aquilani sent in a right-footed shot, low and hard past keeper Jean Francois Gillet.
Juventus Vs. Bari: Alberto Aquilani Puts Juventus Ahead
With just minutes left to play, it seems Juventus will finally find their first 2011 win in Serie A. That win will vault them into fifth place over Inter Milan, although the scudetto defenders still have two games in hand.If Roma keep their lead over Cesena, they move into fourth.
Meanwhile, Bari stay mired in a relegation battle, with just 14 points from 20 matches. It seems almost inevitable that they will return to Serie B.
