FA Cup Replays: Manchester City, Wolves Take Early Leads

The three English Premier League sides in action during Tuesday's FA Cup third round replays took differing tacts with their lineups. Stoke City made ten changes, with only Danny Higginbotham surviving from the weekend. Wolves have retained only four players, while Manchester City has changed only four for their visit from Leicester City. Just over a quarter hour into the day's four matches, the fewest changes have yielded the best results.

Manchester City 1-0 Leicester City - Near the 15 minute mark, the captain’s put City ahead. Carlos Tévez bowled his way into the Leicester City before unleashed a 16-yard blast. Rocketing into the top of Leicester’s net, the Tévez goal gives the hosts an early lead.

Wolverhampton 1-0 Doncaster Rovers - Wolves took an even earlier lead on visiting Doncaster, with Steven Fletcher giving another hint that last year's Burnley form could be within his grasp. The Scottish attacker converted a Steven Hunt cross near the 10 minute mark, giving Wolves a one goal lead.

Cardiff City 0-0 Stoke City - And in the one match where the lower division side was thought to have a good chance, Cardiff City has had the only read chance of the match, with second choice `keeper Thomas Sorensen tested by Daniel Drinkwater within 10 minutes.

As we get set to push out this update, Leicester City has been awarded a penalty. That update, in 15 minutes.
