While chances for either side have been few and far between, both sides continue to press and battle seemingly not wanting to commit a mistake that will see a breakthrough attained by their opponent. Torres settled the ball, cut in towards goal and struck towards Wayne Hennessey who punched away. It was more than a half chance for Liverpool and Torres who found himself one-on-one with the Wolves keeper. Now through 30 minutes in Wolverhampton, the match remains prickly, snappy and quite ready to boil over.
Speaking of prickly, co-commentator Steve McManaman deemed it appropriate to criticize the female linesman after only a few minutes of action.
