The last half of the second half has played out with Wolves enjoying the majority of possession with Liverpool content to sit back on their two goal lead, defend, then look to break on the counter attack when opportunities present themselves.
Wolves Vs. Liverpool: Fernando Torres Completes Brace, Reds Now Up 0-3
Wolves, through Matt Jarvis and Adam Hammill, sent a myriad of crosses into the box in hopes a Wolves player could get a head to one and test Pepe Reina who rarely had to produce a great moment. For Wolves, it really was the same old story: industry, endevor and effort were all on display but not enough quality was witnessed for Wolves to score at home against stronger opposition.
Late on, Liverpool broke on the counter through Dirk Kuyt who did a fantastic amount of work to advance the ball to the six yard box. When Richard Stearman closed down Kuyt, the Dutch midfielder dropped the ball off to a waiting Fernando Torres who blasted home emphatically to secure three important road points for the Reds.
