Manchester United Vs. Birmingham City: Dimitar Berbatov Completes Hat-Trick, Puts United 4-0 Up

For United it's again the three headed monster of Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Dimitar Berbatov who've put the sword to Brum. Now 4-0 up, United scored their fourth when Edwin van der Sar cleared and Rooney controlled the ball with a fine first touch.

Rooney then found Giggs near the box and the Welshman curled a neat cross into Berbatov who easily completed his third hat-trick of the season. In the moments following their fourth, Sir Alex Ferguson has pulled off Giggs in favor of the fit again Michael Owen.

In the 59th minute, Brum missed their best chance of the day when Keith Fahey allowed the ball to trickle behind him in front of an open goal. The miss got a rise out of the United home support but Brum boss Alex McLeish didn't crack a smile. Fabio has replaced Patrice Evra at left back while it should be noted that United have used all three of their allotted substitutions - Darron Gibson replaced Michael Carrick in the first half.
