Robin van Persie bags his second of the day against Wigan Athletic, yet the television cameras can't force their gaze away from David Beckham. Sure, it's quite odd to see him at the Emirates, applauding Arsenal, and pretty cute to see his son wrapped up in an Arsenal scarf, but I'd much rather watch the Gunners celebrate their goal (especially if it involves a back shot of Samir Nasri) than watch Becks' reaction.

Anyway. The goal by van Persie involved a lovely ball from Cesc Fàbregas, sent over the ends of the entire Wigan defense, where it dropped perfectly at the feet of van Persie, running toward goal. A simple tap and the ball was in the net. Pretty goal, but did we get to see much of it? Well, I can tell you that David Beckham’s hair is looking perfect today. Which really is essential to the Arsenal - Wigan match.
