It was all easy for the hosts tonight as Sevilla put a 4-1 whooping on a Levante side that never had a chance. Their 58th minute goal at 3-0 helped to take a little bit of sting out of the beating, but Sevilla added a fourth later to re-gain their three goal winning margin. That winning margin propelled them up to seventh place in the table.
Sevilla Vs. Levante: 4-1 Full Time, Sevilla Skyrocket Up The Table
It was a great day for Brazilian international Luis Fabiano, who bagged a hat trick. His 28th minute opener set the tone, and he added a penalty kick goal and a goal from a 20 yard shot to complete a great hat trick where he showed off a variety of skills. Fabiano is often linked to other clubs and has been in and out of favor with Sevilla’s various managers, so it was fantastic to see him put on a show and enjoying his football.
Xisco Muñoz scored Levante’s goal off of a good assist from Felipe Caicedo, but it it did little to cover up the stink of a poor performance from Levante, who could very well find themselves even farther from safety at the end of the week. They currently sit in 19th place, and you will be hard pressed to find someone who believes that they don’t belong there.
