Injured Newcastle United Striker Andy Carroll Heading To Sweden For Treatment

Andy Carroll is heading to Sweden to see an injury specialist in hopes he can put an end to a nagging thigh injury that has kept him out of action for the last five weeks. Carroll had enjoyed a strong start to the 2010-11 season before the setback sidelined his 11-goal effort which placed Newcastle in the top half of the table early on.

While Carroll was included in Newcastle’s training trip to Portugal, it was hoped that the 22-year-old would be back to running yet the bad news for Newcastle is that he hasn’t just yet. Newcastle boss Alan Pardew chimed in on the matter as seen on the Guardian:
