Javier Cortes of Pumas De La UNAM is not human, and we are not worthy. The 21 year old Mexican forward has double the Pumas lead to two goals, making the score 3-1, with an absolutely insane goal against Monterrey. Andres Cantor lost his ish.
Pumas De La UNAM Vs. Monterrey: Javier Cortes Melted My Brain
While Cortes did most of the work and applied the finish, some props have to be given to Guillermo Vazquez and David Cabrera. The latter is the substitute who provided Cortes with a great assist, while the former is the manager who made the decision to put Cabrera into the game for Luis Fuentes, the man who gifted Monterrey their goal with a silly foul.
So, onto the insanity. Cabrera popped up a ball into the box that just happened to fall right into the wheelhouse of Cortes and his right foot. Cortes unloaded and hit a clean volley while the ball was a good two feet off the ground, smoking it past Jonathan Orozco, who had absolutely no chance. It was a ridiculous rocket, and we hope to have the video for you later today.
