Still, this is another head spinning turn of events and another indication that Liverpool is intent on immediately reinvesting the Fernando Torres money. While there were rumors earlier today that Reds’ rivals Manchester United were in for Adam, it’s Damien Camolli and Liverpool who have stepped-up to meeting Ian Holloway’s asking price.
What that price is remains unclear. The best estimates have it near £12 million, with the low, dismissed end hitting £8 million. Regardless, if Liverpool is able to add Adam to the haul of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, the loss of Fernando Torres will be overwhelmed by the buzz surrounding Kenny Dalglish’s reshaped side.
