After just five minutes, Juventus have already been forced into a substitution in their match against Parma. Fabio Quagliarella landed awkwardly after a challenge from a Parma player and called over to the bench immediately. Based on the amount of pain Quagliarella appeared to be in and the way he landed on the replays, it appears that he’s sustained a very serious knee injury and it would be pretty surprising if he didn’t damage any ligaments. As a result, Amauri has been subbed on.
Juventus Vs. Parma: Fabio Quagliarella Sustains Serious Knee Injury, Amauri On
Speculation is that Amauri is neither very fit, nor is he in favor at the moment. There have been rumors that he is to be sold in January, but between Quagliarella sustaining an injury and long-time target Edin Dzeko apparently heading to Manchester City, the Old Lady might have to alter their plans a bit.
Also, Nicola Legrottaglie is starting in defense for Juventus, not Zdenek Grygera. Thanks, Worldwide Leader.
