Luis Suarez, who's been accused of racially abusing Patrice Evra during Liverpool's match against Manchester United on Saturday, has released a statement on his Facebook page denying the allegations:

↵↵I’m upset by the acusations of racism. I can only say that I have always respected and respect everybody. We are all the same. I go to the field with the maximum illusion of a little child who enjoys what he does, not to create conflicts.
↵↵Obviously I’m not privy to what was said between the pair, and I’m quite happy to believe that Suarez isn’t racist, but this has to be said: YOU BIT SOMEONE, LUIS. IN A FOOTBALL GAME. NEVER EVER TALK ABOUT RESPECT AGAIN.
