Tottenham Hotspur Vs. Arsenal, 2011 Premier League: Second Half Underway

Since I called out Arsenal fans for their unpleasant little chant about Emmanuel Adebayor nearly getting shot to death in Angola, I suppose I should remind the world that the songs that Tottenham Hotspur fans sing about Arsene Wenger are also pretty tasteless. Although since they don't involve anything that's actually happened, they're not as bad. MORAL HIGH GROUND ESTABLISHED in that all of you are awful.

We're off in the second half, anyway. Spurs have started brightly, earning a series of corners, and Arsenal can only break when Luka Modric rather uncharacteristically swings at an incoming pass and completely misses. No worries for the hosts, however - they retrieve possession and send the ball Gareth Bale-wards. The Welsh winger scampers infield and sends a scorcher of a shot just over Wojciech Szczesny's crossbar. That's the second time he's come close to a spectacular goal in the last few minutes of football.

Shortly afterwards, Robin van Persie and Aaron Ramsey combine to try to unlock the Tottenham defence. It doesn't work, because Aaron Ramsey. Still 1-0 to Spurs at White Hart Lane for now.
