Theo Walcott is much maligned for his poor crossing. The young Arsenal winger is one of the fastest players in the world and has some impressive dribbling skills, but when it comes to putting service into the box for his teammates, he leaves a bit to be desired.
Chelsea Vs. Arsenal Live, 2011 Premier League: Gervinho, Van Persie Miss Sitters
Well, today against Chelsea, he's doing a fantastic job with his crossing. In the first 13 minutes of the match, Walcott has played two absolutely magnificent balls for his teammates, both of which they've managed to completely screw up. First, Walcott completely skinned Ashley Cole to set up Gervinho, who missed a tap-in. A minute later, he set up a similar chance for Robin van Persie, the most lethal finisher on the pitch, and he missed as well.
In the event Theo Walcott actually hits good crosses, they can’t be wasted.
