Obviously, this is terrible news for Villarreal and will make their struggle to escape the relegation spots even more difficult. The Yellow Submarine have won just one game out of nine so far this season, and with arguably their best player sidelined for most of the year, things don’t look particularly happy down there. They should still be good enough to avoid the drop, but this is a huge blow.
