CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinals Will Begin March 6-8

CCL draw will be held on Nov. 8 to determine matchups for quarterfinals.

The 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals will begin on March 6-8 with the second leg occurring March 13-15. The draw for those quarterfinals will be held on Nov. 8. The MLS season is expected to start March 10.

A record three MLS teams have qualified for the quarterfinals with the Los Angeles Galaxy heading in as a group winner and the Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC entering as second-place teams. They will be joined by Mexican group winners Santos Laguna, Monterrey and UNAM Pumas. Mexico's Monarcas Morelia also qualified as a second-place team. The other team to advance to the quarterfinals El Salvador's Isidro Metapan.

The quarterfinals will pit group winners against second-place teams. Teams from the same region can play one another, but teams from the same group will not be seeded against each other.

The winners of the two-legged quarterfinals will advance to the two-legged semifinals which will be held from March 27-29 and April 3-5. The finals are April 17-19 and April 24-26.
