DC United's unhappiness with RFK Stadium are well documented. The most storied franchise in Major League Soccer plays in, arguably, the worst facility and there is no solution on the horizon. Apparently fed up with road blocks in the DC area, United is now looking down the road to Baltimore and the league has even commissioned a survey to explore that possibility.
DC United Exploring Relocation To Baltimore
MLS commissions survey to gauge interest among United fans if team were to move to Baltimore.

The move has, understandably, sparked some serious emotions. Much of United’s and their supporters’ character is tied to DC and there’s a reluctance to give that up. Yet, there’s no denying a new stadium is needed and it doesn’t appear one is coming anytime soon in DC. Black and Red United spoke of these conflicted emotions:
Listen. I’ve lived in Maryland my whole life. I’ve supported United for its entire life. I will still support that team if its moves to Baltimore, but I know plenty of you feel differently. We’d all love to see our boys stay in D.C. But it may be time to start thinking about what we’ll do if they don’t.
This is just the latest step by United to lay the groundwork for a possible move. According to the Washington Post, Baltimore has entered into preliminary talks with the team about moving to a new stadium Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium. Team president Kevin Payne, who has been involved with United from the very beginning, made it clear that something has to be done.
“This isn’t a game. This is serious. This isn’t a bluff. Part of it is trying to understand what that means for our business.”
