Mario Balotelli Effigy To Be Burned On Bonfire Night

Edenbridge Bonfire Society have plans to burn a 30-foot tall statue of notorious Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli on November 5th in celebration of both a foiled plot to blow up the House of Lords and King James I 406 years ago (which is quite probably the most English reason to do anything ever) and Balotelli's zany fireworks-related antics that saw him burn out a floor of his Cheshire mansion two weeks ago.

Said statue, by the way, is absolutely amazing, featuring Balotelli in his 'why always me' shirt and a Super Mario hat while holding a huge firework labelled 'Giant TNT' in one hand and his house in the other. And lest you get any ideas about the fine folks at Edenbridge being anti-City or anti-anything-else, they set Wayne Rooney on fire last year. A statue of him, not the actual one*. They're just pro-fire.

↵*That would be murder!
