The game was a physical one throughout, with the Dynamo working to protect the lead they acquired over the weekend at PPL Park. Though they selected an incredibly attacking lineup, the Union struggled to create chances and the Dynamo’s clean sheet never looked like it was going to be dirtied.

Both teams seem to be playing past the midfield, which is a good sign for Philadelphia and not so much for Houston, considering that Houston is actually playing with four midfield players. The Dynamo haven’t had any early possession and seriously need to change that.

To the Union’s credit, they did still manage to take 23 shots, 12 more than the Dynamo, so it’s not like they went completely into a shell once it became apparent they were going to have score some goals.
