Real Madrid Vs. Osasuna, 2011 Spanish La Liga Week 11: Are Los Blancos The World’s Best?

The English Premier League has become a big time attraction in Asia, so both Serie A and La Liga have decided to get into the act over the last couple of seasons with some 12:00 pm CET, 6:00 am ET games. Usually, La Liga doesn't actually make any kind of real effort to attract that market and just puts a couple of crappy teams on early, hoping some people in Asia will watch. On Sunday, they will actually try. Real Madrid are playing Osasuna, and they'll probably crush their opposition at the Bernabeu.

Since Real Madrid's back to back stumbles against Levante and Racing Santander, they have been essentially perfect. Osasuna are not a very good team. This could get ugly, unless the early timing of the game means some of Los Blancos' stars show up with hangovers. If Mourinho is definitely decided to rotate Higuaín and Benzema, the Argentinian will start tomorrow. Özil should show improvement again as his game in Lyon was quite good. Let's hope he can get some continuity to keep improving, I think he is key if we pretend to win it all this season.

I don't expect many surprises in the team, so I am guessing Khedira will be Alonso's partner and Di Maria will be in the right wing. I think it would be interesting so see some Callejón at this time of the season, but Mourinho does not seem to like him starting a lot. This season is too long for Di Maria to start in every game, he is not like Cristiano Ronaldo, whose body allows him to be at a 100% level month in and month out.
