Apparently it’s fire-all-of-the-managers-day in European football. Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly sacked Antoine Kombouare just a day after he took PSG back to the top of Ligue 1 after a difficult 1-0 win at St. Etienne. That might sound insane to most, but considering the amount of money that’s been poured into the club by their new Qatari investors, it’s not completely insane to expect insane expectations, and being in a three-way struggle with Lille and Montpellier was apparently not good enough for a team that received a series of massive upgrades this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain Fire Antoine Kombouare, According To Reports
Paris Saint-Germaine have fired manager Antoine Kombouare the day after he took them back to the top of the table.

It’s not a huge shock that PSG would want to move on to a more renowned manager, and it sounds as though former AC Milan and Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is at the top of Leonardo’s pile. Failure in the Europa League and the inability to crush all before them domestically have provided PSG with the opportunity to part ways with their popular manager, but there’s every chance that this ends up backfiring. Expectations at the Parc de Princes seem rather out of touch with reality at present.
An official announcement is expected later today.
