2012 Olympics: Bill Hamid, Joe Corona, Teal Bunbury Highlight USA Training Roster

With CONCACAF qualifying for the 2012 Olympics just a few months away, Caleb Porter announced the roster for the eight-day training camp which will be held from Dec. 15-23. Among the more notable players to be invited are DC United goalkeeper Bill Hamid, Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson, prospective No. 1 SuperDraft pick Andrew Wenger, Philadelphia Union midfielder Freddy Adu, Tijuana midfielder Joe Corona and Sporting Kansas City forward Teal Bunbury.

Of the 28 players invited, 17 are currently playing for MLS teams and two are currently playing in college. Corona is the only player based in Mexico, while the other eight are based in Europe. There are several notable absences, including New York Red Bulls forward Juan Agudelo, FC Dallas midfielder Brek Shea and Nurnberg defender Timothy Chandler. Any or all of those players could still be named to the Olympics roster.
