David Villa has just come within inches of putting Barcelona two-up and it was a sensational effort. Xavi threaded another incredible pass through the Bilbao defence and running away from goal, Villa chipped a delightful effort that beat Iraizoz all ends up and rebounded to safety off the crossbar.

Whilst this match has been pretty much all Barca up till now, Athletic Bilbao have had their chances. None better than when Llorente turned Gerard Pique inside out before sending a cross over that was headed on the dive just past Pintos post by Susaeta.
The Basque team, as always, are playing a physical, pressing game and while they are chasing shadows most of the time, Andres Iniesta was on the end of a nasty two-footed lunge by Koikili. If Bilbao want to get back into this, Fernando Llorente needs to get more of the ball to feet, test the untried Busquets-Pique partnership, while also giving Pinto something to think about. Two weak links there that Athletic Bilbao simply have to take advantage of.
