Interesting evening of La Liga action tonight! Both Barcelona and Real Madrid in action, both on the road and both facing teams more than capable of holding their own against the big guns in Spain. Neither match will be easy, not least for Barcelona who are without a whole host of first teamers. Carlos Puyol, Dani Alves, Victor Valdes and Xavi are all ruled out through injury, so in come Maxwell, Seydou Keita, Adriano and Pinto between the sticks.
Mallorca Vs Barcelona: Can Barca cope without Xavi?
Can Barca cope without the presence of Puyol, the security of Valdes and the midfield magic of Xavi? At the heart of the side they still have Pique, Busquets, Iniesta, Messi and David Villa so I’d say they’ve got more than enough in their locker to beat Mallorca. For the home side the players to look out for are Nsue, Chori Castro and Webo. A dangerous top three that will be looking to take advantage of a weakened, unorthodox Barca defence.
And with Barcelona playing in that horrendous flourescent green away shirt, the referee gets us underway.
