This is turning into a bit of a rout now and Mallorca just don’t have anything left in the tank. Having chased and chased for the last half hour, Barcas passing has run the home side into the ground, and with spaces opening up all over the park, a ruthless Barcelona are beginning to put Mallorca to the sword. This time it’s Pedro who has got on the scoresheet, cutting in from the right before unleashing a vicious shot that looped over Aouate. Not quite sure if Pedros strike got a slight deflection off Rubens toe, but either way it was a superb goal.
Mallorca Vs Barcelona: Pedro Fires in Barcas Third
And with the scoreline at an unassailable 0-3, Pep Guardiola has decided to give David Villa and Pedro a well-earned rest, with Bojan and Ibrahim Afellay. Have to say I havnt been too impressed with what I’ve seen of Afellay so far. I know the guy has only played sporadically and is still adpating to life in Spain, but from what I had seen of him for PSV Eindhoven I had expected a little bit more from the Dutchman.
Iniesta just rounded Aouate but having been forced out wide he just couldnt quite get his shot on target. Mallorca are a beaten side.
