Somehow, the management of AC Milan and Napoli, along with the Italian FA and various press outlets were successful in convincing the general public that a football match would be taking place today at the San Siro, starting at 2:45 pm Eastern time. Unfortunately that is not the case, and we have all been duped. Instead, what we have seen is 22 men kicking around a ball with so little success that the ball itself might not be spherical.
AC Milan Vs. Napoli: 0-0, Halftime Of Thing That Sort Of Resembles A Football Match, I Guess
For anyone who has watched Milan and Napoli this year, they will know that this is atypical and that both teams are actually very good at playing football. For those of you who don’t watch both teams on a regular basis: I’m sorry that the hype has sucked you into this game. You have been duped. But, it should be a lot better in the second half. Give it another chance?
Unfortunately, if the game does indeed stay this poor and neither team scores, they will both gain a point in the Serie A standings. This is actually a bit of a travesty. In my personal imaginary Serie A table that goes on in my head, I will deduct a point from both of them at the end of the year. To quote Billy Madison, “I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.”
