It took 55 minutes for Bolton Wanderers to put together a dangerous attack on Tottenham Hotspur, and on that first dangerous attack, they have hit the back of the net. Daniel Sturridge is the man who converted the chance, marking two goals in two games for the young forward who joined Bolton on loan from Chelsea on the January transfer deadline day.
Tottenham Hotspur Vs. Bolton Wanderers: Visitors Equalize With First Venture Into Attack
The goal came on a counter-attack through the middle, which was a bit of a surprising development. Spurs midfielders Wilson Palacios and Jermaine Jenas have been playing well all game, but they were by-passed on this occasion. Mark Davies, who was not having a great match up until the goal, made a great run through the middle before laying the ball off to his right, where Sturridge was waiting. He took a touch, then a low shot, right at Spurs goalkeeper Gomes. Fortunately for Bolton, Gomes made a mess of the shot and let it get by him. The ball dribbled into the back of the net, and Bolton had equalized.
