What a classic. What an unbelievable classic.
Newcastle United Vs. Arsenal, Final: Cheick Tiote Volley Sends St. James’ Park Into Frenzy, Levels Score 4-4
Newcastle have somehow figured out a way to claw and scratch (and claw some more) their way back into a match they were once down four in. Credit to the Toon for not giving up and for making the most of their man advantage, but it was an epic capitulation by Arsenal not seen in the Premier League, well, forever. Arsenal's title credentials have surely taken a hit today while the moment in which Abou Diaby was sent off will remain a massive talking point post match.
Cheick Tiote found the fourth and last of the day with a sumptuous volley from outside of the box which beat the frustrated Wojciech Szczesny in goal. Tiote received the ball when Arsenal cleared from a Joey Barton free kick and a famous point was secured. It was a brilliant strike which completed a brilliant comeback and has likely left Arsenal supporters wondering how it all went so wrong so fast.
