After picking up a Dani Alves pass on the right hand side of the penalty area, Messi cut inside onto his left foot, dribbled through a sea of defenders, and took a low shot from 20 yards out. It was perfectly placed, barely fitting inside the near post and David De Gea. Atleti’s young keeper had little chance as the ball went by him and into the back of the net, giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead.
