Here are some things that I have learned in the last 30 minutes:
Barcelona Vs. Atletico Madrid: Lionel Messi Brace For Blaugranes, It’s Just One Of Those Days
- Barcelona are really good at football right now
- Atletico Madrid are really bad at football right now
It’s been an epic struggle to start the match for Atletico Madrid, as Barcelona now have a 2-0 lead after less than half an hour, thanks to the scorer of both goals, Lionel Messi. He now has 24 on the season. If the title race is over, at least the race between him and Cristiano Ronaldo for La Liga’s Golden Boot is going to be awesome.
This one was half assisted by David Villa, half assisted by Antonio Lopez of Atletico Madrid. Villa slipped a through ball into the box for Messi, who timed his run perfectly to stay onside and get past the defense. Lopez stuck out his ball to stop the pass and got a piece of it, but he made a mess of his touches and let Messi not only get to the ball, but gain control of it and slap it past David De Gea.
At the time of this posting, Barcelona has 80% possession while Atletico Madrid has not attempted a shot. I wish that I was making this up.
